A business network and marketplace, designed, built and founded by Valens.
Prilika, launched as Platforma, is a multi-channel business platform where companies build profiles, communicate, advertise products, services and jobs, run auctions and post demands. Valens designed and built it end to end.
The problem
The local market had no central platform for business networking and communication, and a new one had to stand apart from two large, established competitors.
Our delivery
A multi-channel B2B and B2C platform with company profiles, a register of business entities, a marketplace with auctions and demands, a job board with live candidate interaction, and built-in communication.
How we worked
Project context
Valens built a business platform unlike anything on the local market. Prilika is an online workplace where companies and individuals create business profiles, communicate, exchange information and data, and advertise products, services and jobs.
Delivery scope
Architecture and development of a highly scalable platform, UX/UI design, frontend and backend development, cloud infrastructure with Terraform and Kubernetes, data security and third-party integrations, plus project management, product management and QA.
How we built it
The platform uses a microservices architecture in TypeScript: Next.js on the frontend, NestJS on the backend, PostgreSQL and Strapi for data and content, and Elasticsearch for search. Kubernetes manages the containers and Terraform the infrastructure, on IBM Cloud and AWS, while sockets handle real-time interaction. The team optimised database queries, added caching, and protected user data with encryption and authentication. Work ran in agile sprints with weekly client check-ins, starting from an analysis of existing local solutions.

Impact
Prilika became an all-in-one business marketplace: companies promote and sell products and services, create auctions and demands, publish job ads and talk live with applicants. The user base grew substantially, and faster responses and better search improved satisfaction and retention.
