QuidMate brings the mobile-money model to the UK: users load an e-wallet, send money to each other and pay commercial organisations from one app. Valens delivered the cross-platform mobile app and its backend.

How we worked
Project context
QuidMate is a finance tool that lets UK residents manage money through e-wallets, similar to mobile money services in Africa and Asia. Users load their wallets and transact with other users and with commercial organisations.

Frontend and backend development, cross-platform mobile development and quality assurance.
How we built it
One cross-platform codebase serves both mobile platforms. The app covers three core money flows, topping up a wallet, sending money to another user and paying a business, on a backend built for secure transactions.
Impact
Users manage their wallet and payments in a single app, P2P transfers happen instantly, and the MVP launched about 40% faster.
