Raiffeisen Bank Bosnia and Herzegovina partnered with Valens to support its large-scale digital transformation and deliver custom banking solutions. Alongside providing a dedicated engineering team integrated into the bank's internal operations, Valens independently designed and developed a complete digital bill of exchange registry for corporate banking, managing the entire product development lifecycle from concept to delivery.
The problem
The bank needed to modernise its digital infrastructure and business services while maintaining uninterrupted operations across its branch network. At the same time, traditional bill of exchange management relied on manual processes and fragmented workflows, creating administrative complexity and limiting operational efficiency.

Two complementary solutions: a dedicated engineering team supporting continuous banking system modernisation, integrations and migrations, and a fully custom-built digital bill of exchange registry, delivered end-to-end by Valens, including UX/UI design, project management, frontend and backend development.

Project context
Raiffeisen Bank Bosnia and Herzegovina engaged Valens as a long-term technology partner to support its digital transformation initiatives.
Delivery scope
Valens delivered two distinct workstreams. The first involved a dedicated engineering team working alongside the bank's internal specialists on frontend and backend development, system modernisation, migrations and integrations. The second was a standalone, end-to-end software development project for a digital bill of exchange registry. Valens took full responsibility for UX/UI design, project management, frontend and backend engineering, and delivery of the complete solution.
How we built it
Our embedded engineering team collaborated directly with the bank's internal teams, contributing to ongoing system upgrades and migrations while supporting business continuity across its branch network.
In parallel, Valens independently developed a digital bill of exchange registry from the ground up. The solution centralises bill of exchange records for corporate banking, replacing fragmented manual workflows with a structured digital system. Valens managed the complete development process, from user experience and interface design to frontend and backend implementation, delivering an integrated solution tailored to the bank's operational requirements.
Impact
Beyond ongoing engineering support, Valens successfully delivered a complete digital bill of exchange registry, demonstrating its ability to independently engineer specialised financial software solutions within a complex banking environment.
